Shun and Japanese. Good evening, everyone. I'm Shun, a Japanese teacher. How was your day today, everyone? How was your weekend? Well, in recent episodes, we talked a lot about good memories of New Zealand. That's right. Well, since I lived in New Zealand for two years, there are really many things to talk about. New Zealand is a truly beautiful country. There's a lot of nature, and because the population is small, cities aren't too big, which is nice. There are also many jobs, and you can find one quickly. The salaries are also very good. The minimum wage is also very high and goes up every year. Well, so you can live without worrying too much about your livelihood. Also, it's a very international country. There are many people coming to New Zealand on working holiday visas. So, people from all over the world are everywhere. That's why I have more foreign friends than New Zealand friends. Well, actually, this international aspect might be my favorite thing about New Zealand. It's hard to find this environment in other countries. Australia and Canada might have similar environments. But New Zealand is a really far country. There are no direct flights from Japan to New Zealand now, but before COVID, when there were direct flights, it took 11 hours to Japan. New Zealand seems close from Japan, but it's very far. Vancouver and Europe are closer from Japan. But people from Europe, America, and South America, um, have it even harder. It's really far. When going from New Zealand to Europe, you usually go via the Middle East or Asia. I think it was about 17 hours by direct flight from New Zealand to Qatar. No, I've never been on a plane for 17 hours, but yes, it's really far, isn't it? Well, so if you live in New Zealand, traveling abroad or going back home is a bit difficult. Next, well, food. Honestly, sometimes the restaurants were not really tasty. Well, maybe because I'm Japanese, but it was hard to find good Asian food restaurants. Also, I think eating at restaurants is a bit expensive. I think there are more affordable options in Japan. Next, well. Oh, the houses don't have central heating. Well, this is the same as Japan, but since there is no central heating system, it is really cold in winter. Well, this is something I don't like very much in both Japan and New Zealand. Well, the inside of European houses is really comfortable, isn't it? Well, but there is no perfect country. But New Zealand was the most livable country among the countries I have lived in. I think I would like to go back someday. Uh, yes, I ended up talking about New Zealand again today. Uh, everyone, please take a good rest today as well. Well then, let's meet again in the next episode. Well then, see you later. Good night.
