Shun and Japanese. Good evening, everyone. I'm Shun, a Japanese teacher. How was your day today? Were you able to have a fun day? It's a very nice day today. Today I have the day off from work. I'm relaxing at home and writing a podcast script. Listening to music helps you relax, doesn't it? I really like this time. That's true. Recently, my good Japanese friend Yuki also left Queenstown. It's a bit lonely, isn't it? I still have friends in Queenstown, but right now I want to make more new friends. I think making friends in Queenstown is easier than making friends in Japan. How do you all make new friends? In Japan, when making friends, you can probably hang out with friends of friends or make friends at friends' weddings, right? Also, when you travel, you can naturally meet new people, can't you? But I think it's a bit difficult if you live in one place. What about here? Hmm, I think the easiest place to make friends is a hostel. Especially in Queenstown, a lot of people live in hostels. So you can make friends there. Also, hostels have a lot of events, so you can get closer to other people there too. Living in a hostel means you see the same people every day, so you can get to know them over time. Actually, I met most of my friends at hostels. So I love hostels, and hmm, I miss hostel life a little. So I want to travel around New Zealand a bit more. I think making new friends makes life more enjoyable. But if you live in an apartment, where can you make friends? First of all, there are roommates and housemates. But you can't always become friends. I also had roommates I got along with, but everyone moved out. Also, in Queenstown there are many interesting classes and events. For example, I am taking a salsa class in Queenstown. You can make friends through salsa, and there are also social dance events hosted by this salsa class where you can make friends. When going to bars, you can sometimes meet friends of friends, which is nice. Also, I can make friends at the gym I always go to. There are plenty of opportunities to make friends here. But for me, the easiest and most natural way to make friends in New Zealand is definitely in hostels. So I miss traveling a little. Well, I think I'll probably travel to New Zealand again. For me, that's true. People are very important. I like time alone, but I like people. What about you all? Is it easy to make new friends in your country? Is it difficult? Where did you meet your current good friends? If you like, please let me know in the YouTube comments before you go to sleep. Well then, everyone, please rest well today too. Good night.
